What's happening?

Boston Billiard Club of Boston has CLOSED. As of January 4, 2009, the Boston Billiard Club's Boston location has been closed. The closing caught us by surprise and resulted in the cancellation of our 2009 Women's League season.

Does the Greater Boston Women's Billiard Club still exist?

We are working now to locate another "home" for our activities. Many local restaurants and bars have a couple of pool tables, but our events typically require at least six to eight tables. In addition, our events were partially subsidized by the Boston Billiard Club, so it will take some time to negotiate arrangements with a new pool hall. We expect to have our next Club Social sometime in April 2009.

How can I stay in touch and find out about the next event?

The best way to keep up to date is to subscribe to our monthly newsletter. You can do so by clicking on the link at the top of the page. This will guarantee that you receive advance notice of all of our activities.

What can I do to help?

Right now, you can help by visiting area pool halls such as Flattop Johnny's, Big City, Jillians, etc. Take friends, and make note of the number and condition of tables and cues. What is the atmosphere like? Are there parking options? Ask the manager if they have a "Women's Night." What are their hourly rates, both on weeknights and on weekends?

Will Women's League return?

We will do everything possible to have a Women's League in winter 2010.
